For the past few weeks, three youngsters from the Provinciale Hogeschool Limburg, Ann Bessemans, Lien Liekens, and Maarten Van Mechelen have drawn hundreds of small finds at a 1:1 scale. This is a painstaking and time-consuming business, especially if you have to do this for days in a row on the same type of material. After days of drawing fragments of glass vessels, they now have moved to metal objects. Fortunately, they can do this in the garden of the excavation house, be it in the shadow of everyone's laundry. Their main company is our small kitten, named Pardoes, who is constantly begging for food.
