As find of the week, we selected a beautiful mold for making ceramic plates, found in the excavations of the palatial mansion in the Domestic Area. Although broken on all sides, it seems to have represented at least three arcades, each with a statue or representation of a divinity inside. Only the middle one is well enough preserved for identification. The divinity can clearly be identified as a youthful Apollo holding a cithara in his hand. The details of the figure are exquisitely worked out. The date of the mold may go back to the fourth century A.D.
