It was very difficult to decide what to select as find of the week. Aesthetically, the beautiful frieze fragment with a ram's head carrying fruit garlands and ribbons certainly merited that title. However, if the site discovered by Hannelore Vanhaverbeke's survey team, after a careful study of its pottery proves to be the Early Iron Age predecessor of Sagalassos, this certainly is the most important scientific discovery of the week. The supposedly early Imperial date of the N-S Colonnaded Street comes in as a close second.
