Jaime Graham, Field Supervisor
I am proud alum of Anthropology Program of Heidelberg University ‘13, where I worked with Dr. Bush at Johnson’s Island for four long and exciting years. As a recent Master’s graduate, I am happy to be back and working with this year’s field school! My archaeological interests are in studying how the introduction of Christianity changed burial patterns in early medieval England. Long term, I plan to earn my PhD and work overseas excavating and caring for early cemetery sites.

Caitlyn Baldwin
I am a student over at Tiffin University, studying in Criminal Justice: Forensic Science. I came to the Johnson’s Island site because I wanted to get experience and learn how archaeologists and anthropologists excavate a site and what kinds of equipment they use. I would like to do my masters and doctoral in Forensic Anthropology and Archaeology.

Whitney Sachs
I am a recent graduate of California State University, Stanislaus. I was born and raised in California and became interested in archaeology during college. I am interested in the Johnson’s Island site because when I was about ten years old I was obsessed with the American Revolutionary and Civil Wars, so when I saw that there was going to be a field school dealing with the Civil War I knew that I had to be a part of it.

Alisha Yoder
I am a history major with a minor in archaeology at Heidelberg University. The Civil War is one of my favorite wars to learn about and I am really excited about having the opportunity to be a part of something that helps bring those stories alive.
